This Privacy Policy describes how FitPrint ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using FitPrint, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Body Measurements: Chest, waist, hip, shoulder, inseam, and other measurements you enter manually or that we estimate from photos you provide.
- Reference Items: Information about clothing you own, including brand names, sizes, product types, and how well each item fits you.
- Preferences: Your shopping preferences (men's/women's clothing), fit preferences (fitted, standard, relaxed), height, and weight.
- Product URLs: Links to products you want size recommendations for.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features used, and size lookups performed.
- Crash Reports: Technical information about app crashes to help us improve stability.
Photos
If you use our photo-based measurement feature, you may provide photos of yourself. Face detection and blurring is performed entirely on your device before any image data is transmitted. We do not store your photos on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide size recommendations based on your measurements and the products you're interested in
- Infer your body measurements from reference items you provide
- Remember your preferences across sessions
- Improve our recommendation algorithms and service accuracy
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support
- Send you important updates about the Service (not marketing)
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
Service Providers
We use third-party services to help operate our Service:
- OpenAI: We use OpenAI's API to process size chart data and improve recommendations. When processing your size request, we send your measurements and product information to OpenAI. OpenAI's use of this data is governed by their privacy policy and data processing agreements.
- Apple: If you subscribe through the App Store, Apple processes your payment. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
- Analytics Providers: We may use analytics services to understand how users interact with our app. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FitPrint, our users, or others.
Business Transfers
If FitPrint is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your measurements, preferences, and reference items are stored both locally on your device and on our secure servers. Server-side storage enables features like cross-device sync, personalized recommendations, and fit feedback learning. Your data is associated with your account (via Apple Sign In) and is not shared with third parties.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted database storage, and secure server infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
Data stored on your device remains until you delete the app or clear the app's data. Your account data (measurements, preferences, reference items) is stored on our servers for as long as your account is active. Server-side logs and analytics data are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted or anonymized. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and Deletion: You can view your stored measurements and preferences within the app. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. To request deletion of any server-side data, contact us at [email protected].
- Opt-Out: You can opt out of analytics collection in the app settings (if available) or by contacting us.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

8. International Users and GDPR
FitPrint is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

If you are located in the EEA, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Legal Basis: We process your data based on your consent (which you provide by using the Service) and our legitimate interest in providing and improving the Service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
